Saturday, October 12, 3:00-5:00 pm
Hanover Presbyterian Church, 1801 N. Jefferson St. Wilmington
Guest Speaker: Dr. Velma Scantlebury
Before every organ transplant Dr. Velma Scantlebury takes a quiet moment by the surgical sink praying for God's guidance:
"Help me to do the best I can. My hands are your hands," says Scantlebury,
the first female African-American transplant surgeon in the United States.
Please join us for an afternoon of delicious delicacies as we honor the traditions of fellowship and educational leadership.
We are also honoring the memory of Pat Undercuffler, former Female Harmony Society member and nurse, who was passionate about education and improving the health of the communities in which she lived and worked. We are raising money in her memory to support the educational mission of the Female Harmony Society.
The afternoon will culminate in a raffle drawing for a unique handmade quilt.
