Continuing Education Grants |
The Continuing Education Grant Program is a partnership between Hanover Presbyterian Church and the Female Harmony Society. Both organizations have a long history of supporting education. This grant program was created to help support young people associated with Hanover Presbyterian Church to continue their education beyond high school; the money for these grants comes from donations and funds raised by Hanover and the Female Harmony Society. The amount of money available and the number of youth eligible for the grants fluctuates each year. This year, each grant will be $500.
High School Graduate Grant The grant can support a college program or other types of education that lead to training and/or certification for employment. This application is for those who have graduated from high school and are continuing their education. Marybelle Enslen Memorial Scholarship
The Marybelle Enslen Memorial Scholarship was created in 2015, through a financial gift made in honor of Marybelle Enslen, by the Enslen family. Marybelle, a devoted member of the Female Harmony Society, died in 2014, at the age of 93. She believed in the power of education to improve lives, particularly continuing education beyond high school and college.
One of the legacies of the Female Harmony Society is its commitment to education and helping those who might not otherwise be able to continue their education, and we are grateful to the Enslen family for making this scholarship possible. One scholarship per year will be available, in the amount of $1,000. The scholarship will be go towards a post-graduate program leading to a degree or professional certification that will improve the lives of others.
